The Pan de Peace season comes to a close as it plays through the sleepover event just a bit more. The last episode was fun just to see the girls in a new location and having the cuteness of the sleep configurations only adds to it. It’s adorable how they’re mostly in bed dreaming of bread, though there’s a little more than that feared by at least one of the girls. The episode does some nice recap of past events, not that it’s really needed, as it highlights their personalities well. Bringing Mai into it at the end, since she initially went to stay in her own room, is just taken to the next level as she brings all sorts of tasty treats and that leads to the beds being pushed together, further extending the sleepover. It’s light and empty like the bread, but it’s utterly pleasing and smile-inducing.

In Summary:
It’s light and empty like the bread, but it’s utterly pleasing and smile-inducing. You knew what the show was going to be like after the first couple of episode at most, if not the first episode, and just enjoying the simplicity of bonds between a group of girls was all it wanted to be; a light three or so minute effort that arrived weekly to lighten your mood and make you smile. It did just that, though it’s still largely forgettable. But I think it achieved its goal while doing it well and making it fun and as engaging as can be.
