Second ‘Haruchika’ Anime Promo Reveals Premiere Date

Haruchika VisualWith a stage event and showing set to place on January 4th, 2016 in Japan, the second promotional video for Haruchika has revealed a January 6th, 2016 debut for the series. It’ll spread to other broadcast after the Tokyo MX debut over the next several daysThe first two episodes will be screened along with a talk with the production side and the opening theme performed live for the audience at the event.

The series adapts the Haruchika series of novels from Sei Hatsuno. It’s set to star Sarah Emi Bridcutt as Chika Homura, Souma Saito as Haruta Kamijo, Natsuki Hanae as Shinjiro Kusakabe, Seiichiro Yamashita as Keisuke Katagiri, Haruka Chisuga as Miyoko Narushima, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Maren Sei, Asami Seto as Naoko Serizawa, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Sakaiyu Hiyama and Yuki Yamada as Akari Goto.

Haruchika is being directed by Masakau Hashimoto based on scripts and composition by Reiko Yoshida. Namaniku ATK handled the original character design and Asako Nishda will be doing the designs for the series.

The work is based on the novels that began in 2008 with four out so far and a fifth in the works.

Plot concept: Haruta and Chika are members of their high school wind instrument club that is on the verge of being shut down. The two are childhood friends, and they spend their days practicing hard while also trying to recruit new members. When a certain incident happens within their school, they work together to solve it.
