With a lot of eyes on the upcoming Deadpool film now that the trailer is out for it, it’s smart marketing for Marvel to bring out the first issue of Deadpool Vs Thanos this September. That issue now has its cover and variants previewed as well as a few pages from the book itself. The work comes from writer Tim Seeley and artist Elmo Bondoc along with cover artist Tradd Moore with what looks to be very much the right kind of humor to bring it all together.
Plot concept: Everyone knows the story of Thanos – the man who single-handedly turned bejeweled gloves into THE deadliest fashion accessory in the entire universe. But did you know that he and Deadpool share an ex? It’s true! The cosmic lady known only as Death! And when her mysterious disappearance causes everyone in the universe to stop dying – both her former flames take an interest.
If they hope to locate Death and restore balance to the cosmos – they’ll need to work…together. That’s not going to end well. Can the pair overcome their overwhelming hatred for one another? Or will Thanos finally let Deadpool die once and for all? Strap yourselves in and find out when DEADPOOL VS. THANOS #1 comes to comic shops and digital devices this September!
