Okay, so two Erica’s and one Erika may not qualify as an invasion, but it’s pretty impressive that in adding six new actor announcements to the dub of Sword Art Online II that half of them are all named that way and that it’s all the new female main characters.
Aniplex USA has revealed some of the casting for the series while noting that the Phantom Bullet segment is set for a September release while Calibur arrives in November and Mother’s Rosario will land in January of next year. The new cast additions are:
- Erica Mendez as Yuuki
- Erika Harlacher as Siune
- Max Mittelman as Jun
- Chris Cason as Tecchi
- Zach Aguilar as Talken
- Erica Lindbeck as Nori
Plot concept: A year has passed since SAO was cleared. Summoned by Seijirou Kikuoka of the Virtual Division at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Kazuto (Kirito) learns of a series of bizarre murders linked to the popular VR game, Gun Gale Online (GGO). After being shot in-game by a player calling himself Death Gun, two prominent GGO players have mysteriously turned up dead in the real world. As Kazuto logs in GGO and starts investigating the mystery, he meets a girl sniper named Sinon who wields a Hecate II rifle. Is she friend or foe? Kirito enters the virtual world once more for an all new adventure!
