Fans attending Anime Matsuri got to have an advance look and listen to the Sentai Filmworks title Super Sonico and now they’re starting to reveal more of the dub cast for it. With the series attracting plenty of conversation about its casting of Jessica Nigri in the lead role, this is a dub that you can imagine a lot of people interested in seeing what else they’re doing with it. It looks like they’re doing it pretty right going by this first reveal that they’ve unleashed as we get to see Luci Christian in the booth taking on the role of Suzu Fujimi in the series. In the booth sessions are always fun and this one is no exception.
Sentai recently announced a May 26th, 2015 release date for the series on DVD and Blu-ray. at the cons and interacting with the fans.
Plot concept: Saying Sonico is an incredibly busy young woman is an understatement. She juggles a modeling career, part-time work at her grandmother’s bar, performs lead vocals and guitar in an all-girl band, ALL while attending college! Not to mention taking care of her five cats. Or is that the other way around? When her workload gets a little too heavy, she can count on her fellow musicians Suzu and Furi, and the rest of her friends for a stabilizing influence. Get ready for the bounciest adventure ever as this three girl band shakes, rattles, rolls and takes Tokyo by storm in Super Sonico: The Animation!
