Things are progressing well for the spring 2015 anime series from Kyoto Animation with Sound Euphonium. The latest has come in the form of a mild site refresh that gives us a big new key visual image further down the page as well as the supporting cast announcements that are now fleshing out the series more. The show is based on the novel by Ayana Takeda. After originally being talked about back on October 2014, it was formalized that Tatsuya Ishihara is directing the series based on scripts by Hukki Hanada while Shoko Ikeda is handling the character designs for it.

Plot concept: This is the story of the Kitauji Music club and its members. With the introduction of a new club adviser, the story depicts the students’ daily lives as they face challenges and obstacles.
