2 min read

Attack On Titan Film 2 PosterPony Canyon is doing some of the promotional work for the second Attack on Titan compilation film due out later this summer as they have a new teaser now streaming for it that clocks in at around forty seconds. This one is fun as it brings our female titan to the forefront and plays the visual design for that in a great way. The second film is scheduled for June 27th, 2015 and a new TV series is due out in 2016. The first film is titled Attack on Titan Part I: Crimson Bow and Arrow while the second one is Attack on Titan Part II: Wings of Freedom. Astute fans will note that these are the names of the opening songs of the series.

The plan is to bring the same cast back in to voice the two features which will be getting a theatrical sound design to it, meaning a 5.1 mix, which will definitely give it a lot more impact.

FUNimation has picked up the TV series for US distribution while Manga Entertainment UK has the UK rights and Madman Entertainment has the Australian rights.

Property concept: Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of titans.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a titan in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a colossal titan that appears out of thin air. As the smaller titans flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single titan and take revenge for all of mankind.
