There’s a lot of anticipation for the March 11th episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. since it’s tying into the movies in a pretty direct way as Jamie Alexander is guesting. This comes a couple of weeks after the release of Thor: The Dark World on home video and makes sense to bring that into the show itself at that stage since it’s more accessible.
“Last seen in “Thor: The Dark World”—now the third largest grossing Marvel Studios film—Sif has come to Earth with a very specific mission. Unfortunately, we can’t tell you just what brings her to our neck of the woods just yet.”
The guest spot also seems like it’s going to tie into one of the upcoming arcs that involves a four episode stint by Bill Paxton who comes on as Agent John Garrett “a rough-and-tumble former cohort of Agent Coulson [Clark Gregg] with a little bit of attitude and cigar-smoking swagger. While Garrett’s comic iteration eventually goes robo-cop after being injured in the line of duty, this version “refused to sit behind a desk and doesn’t like the formalities of S.H.I.E.L.D. He’s going to help Coulson solve some mysteries and is not afraid to rig an explosive or two.”
