1 min read

Squid Girl OVAWhile Media Blasters has previously licensed and released the main Squid Girl series, which had those episodes simulcast on Crunchyroll, the service is now branching out to bring more OVAs to fans as the Squid Girl OVAs are starting to populate the site. The first two episodes are now up and streaming on the service, clocking in at 24 minutes each and were released tied to volumes of the manga in 2012 and 2013 by the same team behind the series. The episodes are available worldwide outside of Asia and are open to premium members first while free members can check it out on February 19th.

Plot concept: With the environment ever deteriorating on a global scale, rage of those who suffer the most is about to erupt. Take this girl, for example. She is hell-bent on annihilating the mankind before her species is wiped off the surface of the earth, or, to be precise, off the bottom of the ocean. As she sets out on her vengeful journey, however, she becomes aware of certain limitations. She’s nothing but a squid out of water…
