Sparrow's Hotel Episode 5
Sparrow’s Hotel Episode 5
Golden Week is here and the staff is extra busy.

What They Say:
The series revolves around Sayuri Satō, the new front desk worker at the Sparrow’s Hotel — “the closest hotel to Heaven.” Her special features are her large breasts and her skills of assassination. She takes down people who cause trouble in the business hotel with those skills, but she is in fact very unskilled when talking to the male hotel manager, and often bites her tongue.

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
With the manager pushing the staff hard now that Golden Week is here, she’s making sure that they’re properly motivated. But she’s also realizing that the main staff can’t handle everything since they’re just operating at such a high capacity, which has her wanting to get some help in for it. But it’s not something they can do quickly, so the main staff has to handle the influx of people and one very overactive manager who is just going at them pretty intensely. But we do see that even as busy as she gets and as commandeering as she is, she’s still pretty good with the guests and holds up better than the staff overall, though it’s cute to see that Sayuri really does manage to hang on until the end.

In Summary:
With a very busy Golden Week being the name of the game here, it’s rather light on Sayuri’s assassin skills, though she gets in a couple of quick hits here and there and shows off her strength. The main focus is more on Shiokawa as she manages the hotel and deals with the ultra stress of being booked to capacity and dealing with all that comes from that. It’s a light and enjoyable enough episode, but it’s missing some of what’s needed to make it really amusing and instead just hits some of the cliches and things that make you smile, but no more than that.
