Bandai Entertainment To Close Online Store

2 min read

Bandai Entertainment has sent out notice that as of December 29th of this year, they’ll be closing down their online fulfillment store where they sold their goods directly. In order to help move inventory, a lot of items are being marked down to 50% off, which times well with the holiday season, and the sale will run through the end of the year until the store itself closes. The Bandai store was key for distribution of product not of their own making as they helped provide an avenue for Aniplex and Crunchyroll to sell their items as well as attempts to sell directly to fans first and then through regular retail chains later.

Bandai Entertainment announced today it will close its ecommercewebsite, THE STORE (http://store.bandai-ent.com/), on December 29, 2011.

Starting today, store items will be sold at a large discount–up to 50% off on select items while in-store supplies last. The sale will end the same date as the store closing.

Customers who have been accumulating points via store purchases must use them prior to the closing date. Orders will not be accepted after 5PM (Pacific Standard Time) December 29,
2011.

Bandai Entertainment reminds internet customers that the company’s DVDs, Blu-rays and other products will continue to be available at other fine online retailers.

For those looking for an oddball title or two, we heartily recommend both Crest of the Stars and Fantastic Children as titles to check out and discover.
