As we continue to hope for more short form anime to get licensed in North America, the releases hit the ground running in Japan. The latest to get a promo is the summer series Himegoto, which has Asahi Production releasing a 30 second spot for today. With summer series Himegoto, the show has now been announced for a November 26th, 2014 bow that will have all thirteen episodes of the series on one discs for 7,344 yen. The release will come with a new edited ending sequence as well as the promotional videos used to raise awareness before it began broadcast.
The series was produced at Asahi Production with Takeyuki Yanase directing based on the scripts by Kazuho Hyodo. Masaaki Sakura handled the character designs for the series. The main cast ended up doing double duty by performing the opening and closing songs as well. The series stars Yūki Kuwahara as Hime Arikawa, Yuka Matenrō as 18-Kin-san, Saki Ono as President Unko, Hisako Tōjō as Beru-sempai, Ayane Sakura as Mitsunaga Oda, Chinatsu Akasaki as Kaguya Arikawa, Takuya Eguchi as Tadokoro, Minami Tsuda as Ichigou and Azusa Tadokoro as Hiro.
Plot concept: Himegoto follows high-schooler Hime Arikawa, whose absent parents have left him saddled with a huge debt. After being saved from debt collectors by three girls on the student council, in exchange for paying off his debt, he agrees to spend the rest of his high school career dressed as a girl.
