With a greater look at the title characters themselves here and a bit of a narration by William Fichtner that works to show why all of this is happening, the second trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has landed. There’s a fair bit of familiar material from the first trailer in here but it gets a few more pieces that we haven’t seen before and generally sets up the tone for the August 8th, 2014 release.
Directed by Jonathan Liebesman and produced by Michael Bay, it’s due out on August 8th and stars Megan Fox, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, Johnny Knoxville, Tony Shalhoub, Alan Ritchson, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, Danny Woodburn, and Noel Fisher.
Plot concept: The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.
