There’s good reason to be on mailing lists sometimes as those that are on the Lucasfilm mailing list could be among the lucky 2500 worldwide that will be receiving a set of six cards that show off new artwork for the upcoming Star Wars Rebels series that’s debuting on Disney XD in the fall. The posters are propaganda pieces done by Lucasfilm Animation’s art department, Amy Beth Christenson, as a way to show how the Empire has become a big part of the galaxy between the third and fourth films. The artwork has been scattered to a number of sites, which you can see below.
Plot concept: Set between the events of Episode III and IV — an era spanning almost two decades never-before explored on-screen. It takes place in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape.
