
We learned back in November 2020 that the Sasaki and Miyano manga by Sho Harusono that it was getting a TV anime adaptation that debuted with a January 9th, 2022 premiere. We learned at the end of that season that more was coming, and it was previously revealed to be a feature film. The film, going under the subtitle of Graduation Chapter, was set for a 2023 debut and will come with a short attached with it for the Hirano and Kagiura spinoff manga of theirs.
The film saw a February 17th, 2023 debut in Japan and Crunchyroll brought it out with a September 28th, 2023, streaming debut open to members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, India, and CIS.
Now, Crunchyroll has finally gotten around to the English dub side of the film and has added that for streaming here as well.
Shinji Ishihara is directing with Takahiro Ueno assisting based on the series composition by Yoshiko Nakamura. Maki Fuji is adapting the characters with Studio DEEN handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Yusuke Shirai as Shūmei Sasaki
- Sōma Saitō as Yoshikazu Miyano
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Taiga Hirano
- Yūki Ono as Jirō Ogasawara
- Yūma Uchida as Masato Hanzawa
- Ryohei Arai as Tasuku Kuresawa
- Mitsuhiro Ichiki as Gonsaburō Tashiro
Miracle Chimpanzee is handling the opening with “Mabataki” while Yusueki Shirai and Soma Saito, as the series leads, will sing the ending theme song “Ichigo Sunset” as their characters.
The manga from Sho Harusono began in 2016 on Pixiv and is published in print by Kadokawa with seven volumes out as of November 2020. It has produced a novelization and a spin-off manga as well. The manga has been licensed previously by Yen Press.
