It’s been several years since we saw the end of the Yes! Precure 5 and Maho Girls Precure! series but now they’re getting some renewed attention thanks to the franchise’s 20th anniversary. The two projects are getting done as sequels aimed at adult audiences with Power of Hope ~Grown-Up Precure 23~ and Mahō Tsukai Precure! 2. The former saw an October 2023 debut on NHK Educational while the latter was planned to debut in 2024 on regular broadcast networks.
Earlier this spring, the new sequel series was set with a January 11th, 2025 premiere as Maho Girls Precure!!: Mirai Days. The details of that production are now finally coming in with a more formal title of Witchy Pretty Cure!! Mirai Days. The sequel series has Takayuki Hamana directing it from the series composition by Isao Murayama. Asami Sodeyama is handling the character designs with Studio Deen on the animation production. A new visual was released below as well.
The Japanese cast includes:

Maho Girls Precure concept: Mirai is a 13-year-old girl who lives in the human word. One day she witnesses a mysterious object fall from the sky into the park. Excitedly, she brings her stuffed bear Mofurun with her to see what it was. When she gets there she sees a girl named Riko flying on a broom. Riko is of the same age and from the magical world. Mirai has a lot of questions, and Riko explains that she’s searching for a jewel with strong powers called “Link Stone Emerald.”
Then Batti, an ally of the dark magic users Dokurokushi, appears before them and demands that Riko hand over the “Link Stone Emerald,” which Riko herself had been looking for. To make things worse, Batti uses dark magic to create a monster known as a Yokubaru! Mirai and Riko join hands and with the magic words “Cure-up Rapapa!” they transform into the legendary Pretty Cure.
