Disney+ Reveals ‘Agatha’ TV Series Premiere After Confirming Playful Naming Updates

With Disney+ having previously brought out the WandaVision series back in January 2021, we saw pretty quickly that they were going to capitalize on the show with a spinoff for the character of Agatha Harkness. The project has Kathryn Hahn reprising her role as the title character and Jac Schaeffer is on board as writer and executive producer for it.

With the show having gone through a few names over the past couple of years with snazzy graphics for it, we now know the joke that was being played with the seemingly continual changes as it’s now been formally titled Agatha All Along, which plays on the insert song from WandaVision. With this now-finalized name, the show is set for a September 128th, 2024 premiere date on Disney+.

And if it plays out as the scheduling would seem to, the final episode of the season airs before Halloween if it is an eight-episode show.

Also, note the other small change in branding here. This is now clearly listed as Marvel Television whereas previous logos were Marvel Studios. We’ve also seen the Marvel Animation banner being used and it looks like Marvel Studios is making sure that the logo, which admittedly most people won’t really think about, is going to be for theatrical films only.

The cast includes:

  • Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness
  • Emma Caulfield Ford as Dottie
  • Joe Locke
  • Aubrey Plaza
  • Ali Ahn
  • Maria Dizzia
  • Sasheer Zamata
  • Debra Jo Rupp

Plot concept: In the first episode, we see Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) finally break out of a spell she has been trapped in. She can’t wait to go back to her old murderous ways only to find that she is powerless. The only way forward for her is to embark on a perilous quest to get her powers back with the help of an unlikely friend or two.
