A new anime arrived with the October 2022 announcement that the An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride light novel series is in the works. The show saw an April 2024 premiere and production partner DMM Pictures is handling the Japanese home video releases for it. The twelve-episode series is being released on two Blu-ray sets that arrive on July 31st, 2024, and August 28th, 2024. The sets are priced at 18,000 yen each and you can see the full known details below.
The series was directed by Hiroshi Ishiodori from the series composition by Aya Yoshinaga. Mina Osawa served as the character designer and chief animation director with Brain’s Base handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Yusuke Kobayashi as Zagan, Kana Ichinose as Nephy, Hana Hishikawa as Chastille, Kisho Taniyama as Barbatos, Akane Misaka as Foll, Tetsu Inada as Raphael, Ayasa Ito as Manuela, and Toshiyuki Morikawa as the Narrator.
The property comes from writer Fumimori Teshima and illustrator COMTA which began in 2017 and has fifteen volumes so far with it ongoing. A manga adaptation produced by Hako Itagaki is also underway as serialized in Comic Fire which has nine volumes out and is ongoing. Both releases are done through J-Novel Club in English.

Plot Concept: Zagan is feared by the masses as an evil sorcerer. Both socially awkward and foulmouthed, he spends his days studying sorcery while beating down any trespassers within his domain. One day he’s invited to a dark auction, and what he finds there is an elven slave girl of peerless beauty, Nephy. Having fallen in love at first sight, Zagan uses up his entire fortune to purchase her, but being a poor conversationalist, he has no idea how to properly interact with her. Thus, the awkward cohabitation of a sorcerer who has no idea how to convey his love and his slave who yearns for her master but has no idea how to appeal to him begins.
