While it’s a bit of a hard sell for both anime fans and comic book fans when the two forms meet, they’re doing something right in terms of sales which is why they keep making them. After four TV series that were done previously and an Iron Man feature with the Technovore, Marvel and Madhouse returned in 2014 with Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher.
The film has found its way to streaming previously but it’s mostly bounced off and on the Crackle service, especially when it was a full-on Sony-own service. Now, the film has made its way to the Tubi streaming service where it’s available here in its English-language form.

Plot concept: After interfering with a top secret mission, The Punisher is taken into custody by S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and Avenger Black Widow. At the orders of Director Nick Fury, Punisher and Black Widow are sent on a mission to stop Leviathan, a global terrorist organization that plans to sell stolen S.H.I.E.L.D. technology to the highest bidder. Now, the vigilante and spy must work together to prevent this technology from falling into the wrong hands. The fate of the world, and of the Avengers, hangs in the balance.
