It’s also nice to have a girls’ love story that isn’t rated mature.

What They Say
“I’ll never have a 3D romance!” High schooler Akira loves otome games and refuses to have a 3D romance, so she’s caught off-guard when the new transfer student suddenly declares that she is Akira’s future lover! It’s the start of the bittersweet story of two girls who are more than friends but less than lovers!

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers):
Otome-loving gamer, Akira, vows to never love a 3D person. She prefers to keep romance in a 2D format! These thoughts are challenged when Akira meets Pure, a new transfer student that claims to be her lover from the future. At first, Akira isn’t interested in Pure, because she simply isn’t interested in anyone. But, Pure is persistent and their time together slowly increases. From walking home together to going on dates, and sharing meals together, suddenly Pure has found a spot in Akira’s heart. What will happen next when Akira kisses Pure? We’ll have to wait to volume two to find out!

In Summary:
This is a very adorable story. It’s also nice to have a girls’ love story that isn’t rated mature. It’s difficult to find any LGBTQ+ titles that are rated teen, so it’s a treasure to find a fun, easy-going story that anyone can enjoy. In fact, this is a perfect story for a younger reader, because they might not only see themselves represented in the story, it might give them hope. Akira and Pure have a future relationship together, so it’s nice to already know there is a positive outcoming awaiting these too.

There is a color insert at the beginning of the volume. There is also a series of 4-panel comics at the end called “Yurimi Is Watching”, which spotlights other students at Akira and Pure’s school.
