Final Fantasy Lost Stranger Vol. #03 Manga Review

2 min read
It’s really fun how Shogo uses his knowledge from previous FF games and experience to navigate his team and him in the story.

Taking responsibility.

What They Say
After being captured by the Magus Sisters, things are looking bleak for Shogo and his party of adventurers. Cindy’s very interested in his “Libra” ability, and she’ll stop at nothing to have it for herself…

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers):
The Magus sister captures Shogo and his team. Shogo struggles to uncover their motive or their true intentions. They do seem to be aware of Shogo’s “Libra” ability, but when a Count shows up and things get messy, Shogo helps his team escape.

Just when they are out of one disaster, Shogo’s team finds themselves on wanted posters all over the city. They are soon arrested, released, arrested, and again released. Princess Sara not only finds her voice to secure Shogo’s team freedom, but she also vows to assume royal leadership. Soon Sara, Shogo’s team, and the royal guard are teaming up against dolls that seem fuse together in certain circumstances. It will take a coordinated effort to keep everyone safe and defeat this strange new foe.

In Summary:
First, I need to comment again on how nice the Yen Press did the cover treatment. It’s the little things like the foil title and color inserts that really plumps a manga volume and makes it feel special. There are a few translation notes at the end of the volume, and as always, it’s ad-free.

Second, this story really keeps moving along. It hasn’t stalled out yet, which is really a bonus for me. It’s really fun how Shogo uses his knowledge from previous FF games and experience to navigate his team and him in the story. Even though he has the power of “Libra”, he uses to only help those close to him.

Third, for someone like me that doesn’t play the FF games, it’s still an enjoyable story. I’ve never played the games once, but have enough knowledge to enjoy the idea behind the story. I think anyone that likes Isekai with a twist, or any fan of fantasy will enjoy this series.
