The Harley Quinn show went amusing big and interconnected the last time around after spending a lot time with Not-Joker who is getting pushed back into being the Joker again at the end because Harley needs the book that he had as the Joker. Getting the book that Queen of Fables had is key to dealing with Psycho and his work in reviving the parademons that are now running roughshod over Gotham as they need to be able to bring the Justice League back. That’ll come with its own host of problems but it’s just fun to watch Harley smack the crap out of Joker upon his revival and to see how Psycho and Riddler working together is leaving to mass chaos on the level that both of them like – especially jacked Riddler. It’s also amusing watching how Not-Joker’s memories are coming back to the Joker and his time in khakis has really pissed him off.

Having Harley and Joker trying to get the book back plays out well since his “wife” doesn’t recognize him and is then pretty shocked by what had happened now that it’s starting to sink in. Having the book getting snapped up by a parademon, however, is about what one would expect in spreading this out a bit longer. At the same time, we see how Psycho has managed to strike the same deal with Darkseid that Harley had but it involves some comical backstory to his childhood that makes clear where his hate for women stems from. It’s not surprising and is kind of basic but it just made the time watching Ivy and Kite-Man going dress shopping all the better. Though Ivy’s still struggling with what happened with Harley, she’s still intent on going through with the wedding and while they’re not fully in synch here it’s still an utter delight to watch them play off each other.

This is a busy episode overall with a lot going on but it has that back and forth kind of element to it that almost draws it out to feeling too long but cramped as well. That’s partially because there are three or four storylines going on depending on how you classify them. It is enjoyable to watch Ivy go off on Psycho since she was willing to just ignore him and all of this until it interfered in the wedding by forcing her to buy a dress as it got ruined. I also liked that the end of the episode finally does bring the Justice League back and we see how scarred they are by what happened. It’s comical and works well since you’ve got these titans of power that are all really wigged out by the whole experience.

In Summary:
Harley Quinn is inching closer to the end and while the path of it is pretty straightforward that we can see so far, the way it’s getting there continues to be a delight. Jacked up Riddler is comical, post-dad Joker hits a sweet spot, the confused Justice League that’s struggling has me laughing, and Ivy being pissed is just the icing on the cake. There’s a ton of action here, lots of comedy, as it barrels toward the finale and tries to wrap up as many things as it can.
