Netflix has a new film coming up this month with the Extraction project that was backed by Joe and Anthony Russo as producers. It’s based on the comic Ciudad which we reviewed the first issue of here back in 2014. That was written by Andre Parks and illustrated by Fernando Leon Gonzalez. With an April 24th, 2020 debut set on the streaming service, the first trailer for it has now arrive.
Directed by Sam Hargrave, the film is produced by Joe and Anthony Russo. The cast includes Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake, David Harbour, Manoj Bajpayee, Rohit Sukhwani, Rudraksh Jaiswal, Marc Donato, Fay Masterson, Derek Luke, Randeep Hooda, Pankaj Tripathi, Priyanshu Painyulli, Golshifteh Farahani, Adam Bessa, Suraj Rikame, and Shataf Figar.
Plot Concept: Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) is a fearless black market mercenary who embarks on the deadliest mission of his career when he’s enlisted to rescue the kidnapped son of an international crime lord.
