HIDIVE Debuts ‘How clumsy you are, Miss Ueno’ Anime Dub

The winter 2019 anime adaptation of the manga property Ueno-san wa Bukiyo is wrapped up a few months ago but a surprising and fast change has landed. HIDIVE revealed during Anime Expo last night that they’ve produced a dub for the series and that they’ve begun streaming it on the service right now. The full twelve episode run is now available there with it directed by Kyle Jones. The dub cast for it includes:

  • Hilary Haag as Ueno
  • Nathan Wilson as Tanaka
  • Monica Rial as Yamashita
  • John Swasey as Narrator
  • Melissa Molano as Kitanaga
  • Holly Segarra as Tamon
  • Kira Vincent-Davis as Nishinara
  • Patty Cakes as Mizuna
  • Christina Kelly as Yomogi
  • Scarlette Skipper as Kanchichi Kitties
  • Joslyn Johnson as Minamine

The series has Tomohiro Yamanashi directing it and on the series composition. Ayanao Owada worked on the character designs and served as the animation director with Lesprit handling the animation production with Gathering cooperating.

The previously announced Japanese cast includes Yū Serizawa as Ueno, Aimi Tanaka as Tanaka, Akari Kageyama as Yamashita, Nichika Omori as Mizuna Tanaka, Miku Itō as Yomogi Tanaka, Shiori Izawa as Tamon, Haruka Tomatsu as Kitanaga, Rina Satou as Nishihara, Ayana Taketatsu as Minamine, and Yuka Iguchi as Unogawa.

Shiori Izawa will be performing the opening theme song “Hirameki Heartbeat”, aka “Flash Heartbeat” for the show.

The manga comes from tugeneko and began in 2015 and has four volumes out so far.

Plot Concept: The story focuses on Ueno, a stoic and strong-willed genius junior high school girl who is the president of her school’s science club, and who has already invented many handy gadgets for her own use. However, she is clumsy and awkward when it comes to romance.
