What They Say
In an effort to discover the secret Dr. Shidou Yurizaki kept from Mira and her “sisters,” Drake and the Syndicate raid Prince Salva’s underground facility. What follows is a battle that will shape the course of human history, as nothingness threatens to engulf the entire world!

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers):
The Syndicate has infiltrated Prince Salva’s laboratory that harbor’s Mira’s sisters. Koorogi is entrusted to get all they discovered to Claire Skyhart while the Prince, his younger brother, Lasithi and Albert defend the sisters that remain in the lowest level of the facility. The fight isn’t an easy one and Prince Salva is doing his best to keep the sister safe and away from Drake, the head of the Syndicate. In the end, Albert is critically wounded by Drake and is offered as a trade for the sisters.

The world is thrown into chaos that was predicted. Mira, now separated from Kyouma, is learning more and more about her creator. Kyouma and the others are in a train and now with the Syndicate focused also on them, they are challenged to survive as the train goes off a cliff. They all survive and are confused to where they are. It seems Ellie might be the only to know where they are, but she keeps silent, because part of her past she either can’t quite remember or doesn’t want to. As they enter the underground city, Ellie leads without telling the others why she knows so much, but they catch on quickly and she spills her past’s secrets.

In Summary:
This volume is heavy on the action. It’s also definitely leading to a finale that has now been publicized for the near future. This story continues to be dialogue-heavy and while it sometimes bogs down the pacing of the story, it does lend to a deeper understanding of the story and the depth of the characters. The production that Yen Press does on each volume remains beautiful. The glow-in-the-dark covers and the color inserts both at the beginning of the volume and the middle are a nice touch.
