Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers):
Parent-teacher conferences aren’t quite done yet. Mame’s dad was in the hospital and conferences couldn’t happen, so he asked Haruaki to do a visit. As expected, nothing as expected and wild yokai situations arise left and right. Haruaki makes it through the deadly visit with a blessing from Mame’s parents.

When fellow teachers sense something’s wrong with Haruaki, they try various methods to cheer up and none of them work, the principal decides he’ll take the teachers out for some drinks. When they get to the bar, the find out Haruaki is feeling envious of friendships amongst his students and other teachers. His peers remind them that they are friends, and all seems good until the principal sneaks out leaving them with the bill.

For reasons he doesn’t remember, Haruaki wakes up in the woods. He needs to get to a faculty meeting in 30 minutes and freaks out about until Marshmallow shows up with his little car and new license. First, they are pulled over for speeding, then Marshmallow becomes hungry and they need to stop for food, and finally a motorcycle gang before arriving in spectacular fashion at the last second at school.

Haruaki discovers he has a celebrity in his class. Saguru is actually unconfident and shy but is pegged for a cold boy band member. When Haruaki and Fuji try to help him overcome his confidence issue but observing various students. However, in the end, it was best for Saguru to just be himself.

It’s class trip time. Before it even begins, the class loses their directionally challenged teacher, Haruaki. The entire class splits up to look for in various places around Tokyo. Haruaki runs into someone who seems familiar with him, but he doesn’t seem to remember the person. He offers Haruaki assistance finding his students and Haruaki takes him up on it. However, this apparently kind person seems a bit turned off when Haruaki offers for a Zashiki-warashi in a department store fire. While Haruaki’s students are desperately searching for him to save him, he gets a little help from a small yokai boy that guides him to roof and is saved.

In Summary:
Each chapter in this volume is almost like it’s one separate story with little connection to the next. The last two chapters are the only ones that have a connection. Again, this is a relatively entertaining series, but it almost gets bogged down by its own running gags that keeps resurfacing. I do appreciate the variety of characters as yokai and when it comes down to personality. I enjoy that variety and it keeps the story fresh, when it might otherwise begin to feel a little stale.
