Crunchyroll Adds ‘ClassicaLoid 2’ Anime Streaming

The fall 2017 music oriented anime series Classicaloid 2 is expanding its availability after Sentai Filmworks picked it up and simulcast it through HIDIVE. The series is now streaming on Crunchyroll in its original Japanese language with English subtitles. Availability for it is pretty good as it’s open to viewers in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, and Central and South America.

The series was directed by Yoichi Fujita based on the original character designs by Makoto Tsuchibayashi and animated by Sunrise. Ichirou Sakaki worked on the series composition side with Michihiro Tsuchiya.

The Japanese cast includes Nobunaga Shimazaki as Sousuke Kanraku, Mikako Komatsu as Kanae Kotone, Tomokazu Sugita as Beethoven, Yuki Kaji as Mozart, Kousuke Toriumi as Chopin, Mamiko Noto as Liszt, Tomoaki Maeno as Schubert and Akira Ishida as Pad-kun.

Plot concept: In a rural town undergoing revival through music, high school students Kanae and Sousuke meet none other than Beethoven and Mozart! Calling themselves “Classicaloids”, this mysterious duo creates a strange power through the “music” they play.

One night, stars fall from the sky and gigantic robots appear, causing trouble every single day! Bach, Chopin, Schubert also appear as Classicaloids. What is the mystery behind the powers they possess? Are they humanity’s friend or foe?
