Something interesting has landed on Amazon Video as the provider continues to look for all kinds of content to differentiate itself and draw in a large consumer base to keep things running. They’ve brought on three shows from Ammo Content that are part of the Osamu Tezuka library of properties with:
- Black Jack (2004) episodes 1-52
- Astro Boy (1980) episodes 1-13
- Phoenix (2004) Episodes 1-13
The curious thing is that the Black Jack series has a completely new dub to it that was produced a few years back but didn’t make it out into wider distribution until now. No information on who produced the dub has been out there but the cast includes David Godfrey as Black Jack, Anita Yung as Chiyoko Wato, Sunni Westbrook as Pinoko, and Anita Yung as Konomi Kuwata/Black Queen and Kumiko Honma.
