Audio:
The audio presentation for this release is like the majority of clip shows at this point as it has only an English language track in stereo encoded at 192kbps. The audio track is fairly decent for the most part but it’s very dependent on the individual clips as some of them have a bit more noise at higher levels, some are slightly muffled and a couple are a bit lower, but they are all for the most part very easy to understand and free of serious problems. You may want to keep the remote handy to adjust the volume on some clips though.
Video:
Comprised of clips from across several years, the transfer for this series is presented in its original full frame aspect ratio. Similar to the audio department, the quality of the transfer is really dependent on the clip itself as each of them come from very different places and different kinds of source quality. The ones with a bit more of a budget tend to look better while others have a soft and fuzzy feel to them. The actual authoring and encoding looks to be done just right but with a lot of the low quality source material, the DVD is just showing off the flaws in it all the more. This isn’t the kind of show where you jump up and down looking for pristine quality to begin with but it is for the most part in the realm of acceptable.
Packaging:
The packaging for this release is straightforward and a bit simple as the front cover just uses a red background and has a grouping of characters from the different shows on top of it, one of which is done with the red filter. The character artwork obviously doesn’t come from the same show but the overall look is alright and there’s a touch of nudity to it, thoug hnohting that makes you want to turn it away quickly from anyone should they see it. The back cover goes for an all white background and puts a series of shots from the show through the middle with a big graphic one along the right side that lets you know definitely what you’re in for. The summary is obviously pretty minimal as it just throws a lot of buzzwords at you, but it’s pretty effective overall. The bottom has the usual array of details about the disc and its stats. No show related inserts are included nor is there a reversible cover.
Menu:
The menu design for the release is pretty cute as it uses an all white background and puts up a big active window in the middle where shots from the show are playing out in all its hentai glory. There’s two pieces of character artwork from the front cover that overlays all of it and doesn’t really detract from the imagery, since it’s actually two screen sin the background, which isn’t apparent at first. The layout is good looking in general though and it’s easy to navigate and get around. With only English language here, the default selections were not an issue and the menus performed well. The top level menu does include a selection for just hitting the money shots as well which is amusing.
Extras:
The only included extra is a five minute long video gallery of still shots from the various clips.

With the fourth installment of All Sex Hentai, it’s fairly safe to say that we know what we’re getting. Well, we really did know that at the start as well because it’s all about the hentai. And htat’s a good thing. This installment keeps things fairly straightforward in a way without much of the really nasty stuff, or at least it’s not filled with kink from start to finish. There’s a mild bit of bondage that’s more of a dream than anything else in the first half and there’s a bit of rough rope bondage just before the end where the show tags a bit of Night Shift Nurses for use. But even there, that’s one of the tamer scenes from that franchise overall, just a bit rough, so it stands out big here but isn’t something that throws off the overall vibe of the release.
All Sex Hentai 4 spends its time with all sorts of couples in this release, and that’s a key thing as there’s no group sessions to be had, and a lot of it almost has that romantic couple feeling. There’s some scenes with tenderness, some with lust and others that are just getting it on to get it on. And this really does work in the shows favor, at least at the time that I’m watching this, as something with all out gonzo material just isn’t what I was looking for. Here, the young couples spend a lot of time in slice of life kind of settings for the most part, including some good sequences from The Natural anime OVA series. There’s some fantasy era material that comes into play as well which is a good bit of fun, but it’s pretty minimal. We do get a couple of scenes from a more science fiction oriented piece that uses some combat suits that are skintight, but these sequences are hard to watch since they were originally in widescreen and are compressed to full frame size here.
In Summary:
With Adult Source Media releasing a lot of very kink specific kind of compilation releases, I have to admit I really liked this one for what it does. While some of the scenes are a bit more miss than hit, it does a lot right here in what it gives the viewer. Though the dialogue can be a bit rough to handle itself sometimes since it’s English only, the gist of the scenes are solid as we get people that are enjoying what they’re doing, sometimes timid, sometimes grabbing on full bore, The animation is decent in most of the scenes, the character designs are varied and generally appealing (again, the SF oriented one is the weakest) and I liked the way it felt like the characters were generally just regular people for the majority of this and going through the act without it being filled with angst, rage or disturbing school bullying and intimidation. It’s almost a sweet release. Maybe Adult Source Media will release a Happy Couples Hentai Fest sometime?
