While there were hints about it over the weekend from sources that are generally reliable, it was fully confirmed from Paramount Pictures today that the sequel to the 2009 release of Star Trek will indeed be called Star Trek Into Darkness. Yes, one title, no colons or dashes or anything. The feature is bringing the cast back for a second round with J.J. Abrams directing and is due on May 17th, 2013 with a strong cast of supporting actors that are looking to expand the new mythos. Details have been slim on the movie overall and the new title is only going to add to it.
