Noah Hawley Developing ‘Doctor Doom’ Property

2 min read

Doctor DoomNoah Hawley has gotten a lot of attention the last couple of years for his excellent work in bringing Fargo to life on FX, something that a lot of people couldn’t believe would work as a long form TV series. His most recent project was the very well received critical darling with Legion, which played in the X-Men universe. During the SDCC panel last night talking about the second season of the show and where the first season went and did things, the creator dropped the nugget on his way out the door that he’s looking to take on a movie about the Doctor Doom character from the Fantastic Four IP that Fox has for development.

Oviously, no real details were given but the character is one of the earliest villains in the Marvel Comics universe and has been key in numerous line-altering events over the years. With him also showing in the live-action films under different actors but nowhere near applied right compared to the comics, the potential of a villain-centric film with him as the lead is definitely engaging.

Particularly if it just flat out ignores the most recent Fantastic Four reboot and works the character with his own story.
