2 min read

Kantai CollectionWe learned earlier this month that Funimation has lined up another Crunchyroll property for release with KanColle as it’s been solicited for a June 27th, 2017 release as a DVD/BD combo pack. The release is also going to be done in bilingual form and now the latest round of casting announcements have arrived for it! This brings us Elizabeth Maxwell as Nagato, Morgan Garrett as Mutsu, Madeleine Morris as Ooyado and Christina Kelly as Yamato. Check the character visual piece below!

The previous casting revealed Felecia Angelle as Fubuki, Leah Clark as Yuudachi, Cherami Leigh as Mutsuki, Brittney Karbowski as Ayane Sakura, Natalie Hoover as Ayane Sakura, Jad Saxton as Ayane Sakura, Jeannie Tirado as Kaga and Tia Ballard as Akagi.

The series was animated at studio Diomedea with Keizo Kusakawa directing based on scripts by Jukki Hanada. Character designs are done by Naomi Ide and Mayuko Matsumoto, who also served as the chief animation directors. The show stars Sumire Uesaka as Fubuki, Saki Fujita as Akagi, and Yuka Iguchi as Kaga.

Plot concept: Set in a world where humanity has lost control of the oceans to the “deep sea fleet,” the only hope to counter this threat are the Kanmusu, a group of girls who possess the spirit of Japanese warships. The story revolves around Fubuki, a destroyer who comes to the Chinjufu base to train with other Kanmusu. Watch as their stories unfold!
