We learned back in September that there was going to be another upcoming theatrical anime project with Lupin the Third: Goemon Ishikawa’s Spray of Blood, a title that definitely makes the day for a lot of anime fans. The film has been set for a February 4th, 2017 release date and it looks like they’re bringing back the staff from Jigen’s Gravestone for it, which definitely works. As we’re now getting closer to it, a new teaser spot has been revealed that you can see below as well as a new key visual poster to the right.
The film will be directed by Takeshi Koike based on a screenplay from Yuuya Takahashi. With Telecom Animation Film producing the animation, TMS Entertainment and Showgate are handling its release.
Plot concept: The film tells the story of how Lupin and Jigen became partners. The two undertake a heist in a fortified country, and Jigen’s life is threatened by a skilled sniper.
