tsugumomoWith the 18th volume of Yoshikadu Hamada’s manga series Tsugumomo released back on September 12th, 2016, we learned that the property was up for an anime adaptation, one that could have a good run to it considering the amount of material. The official site has updated a bit through social media, however, to reveal the first key visual for the series with our title character as it plays off the manga cover, while also revealing that the series will be a part of the spring 2017 season in April.

As was the case when it was announced, no details are provided for it in regards to casting or staff. The property began its serialization in Monthly Action magazine back in 2007 and has had a solid run ever since.

Plot concept: Kazuya Kagami never goes anywhere without the precious “Sakura Obi” his mother gave him. One day a beautiful, kimono-clad girl named Kiriha appeared before him, and began to live in Kazuya’s room. Then there’s Chisato, Kazuya’s childhood friend with glasses and a ponytail, who likes to meddle with his affairs. Soon, there’s also an overprotective sister who seems to want to take baths with him. Jumble in a huge-chested priestess, a good-looking sorceress named Kokuyoura, beautiful women, and hot girls, Kazuya’s happy, embarrassing, and confusing life begins…
