What They Say:
My Wife is the Student Council President, known in Japan as Okusama ga Seitokaicho! High school freshman Hayato Izumi’s hopes of becoming class president are dashed after losing to Ui Wakana, a beautiful girl who promises to lift all restrictions on campus romance. After the student council meeting, Ui arrives at Hayato’s home and announces that she will become his wife due to an agreement that their parents made during their childhood.

With some good fun underway so far that definitely plays the fanservice and sexuality in a way that makes me laugh and enjoy it for being as blunt as it is, the latest episode has arrived and it knows exactly how to mess with the viewers. Though the cast has been kept relatively small, a definite advantage for it so that it doesn’t become overwhelmed by too many things going on, it has a lot to work with when it comes to the cast it does have. You can do the focuses easily enough from time to time and ensemble pieces elsewhere, making for lots of silliness and configurations to work through, much to my delight.

Half the fun is just in watching how Ui and Misumi play against each other with Hayato as the piece between them to be messed with. Hayato, of course, causes enough problems himself since he’s distracted by Misumi’s breasts and it just goes from bad to worse there even if he’s trying to do the right thing. With the events at the festival coming back to haunt him, you have to fear for his fate in Ui’s hands all while wanting to be a victim of her wrath at the same time. Misumi’s adorable during all of this as well as she feels like she has a win and is making progress here but it comes at a time when she sees that couples are all the rage at school and that makes her conflicted. So what better way to deal with that conflict than to set up for disciplining people involved in being a part of a couple?

Misumi’s pretty intense in meting out discipline and it’s fun to watch her get as intense as she does, though Ui hopes to teach her a new way to deal with it through interaction. For Misumi, however, she’s just on a tear to deal with problem students and their lusty ways within school grounds. What’s amusing here is that they follow one couple into a storage room to see if they really are breaking rules and it just gets Misumi all excited and into it, which in turn makes things worse for Hayato. With them essentially acting as voyeurs at this point, it’s definitely fun to watch as it unfolds and Misumi gets more and more turned on by it as the other couple really get into it in all its uncensored glory – and Misumi remembers how close she was to Hayato recently.

In Summary:
Misumi’s growth over the course of the series has been fun to watch as she’s realizing more and more of what she’s into and how much it gets her going, making her want to experience more of it. Though the show doesn’t really get into the exploitation side toward the end, and boy does it embrace it pretty well with these no-name characters, there’s a lot to like here as we continue to see Misumi’s awakening. She’s going to be a force to be reckoned with to be sure, though she can certainly do better than the already taken Hayato.
