3 min read

FUNimation Logo 2016FUNimation looks to be making a bit of a splash to get 2016 underway as the company has announced that they have a lot of initiatives in the works that will make this year a lot more engaging for fans, especially that use their services as a new look is coming up for it. They note that it’s not just skin deep changes being made, but they are kicking it off with a brand new logo. They also indicated that some more news would be coming later today.

A video was up temporarily that shows some of what they’re doing, including the site http://www.funimationnow.com/ going live.

“First things first, February will mark the debut of FunimationNow, our all-new anime streaming service, with completely redesigned mobile apps. We’ll still be bringing you all the subtitled and English-dubbed anime you love, completely ad-free—PLUS, a sleek new design supported by a first-class user experience. But that’s not all, throughout the year we’ll continue introducing a bunch of cool new features as we prepare for the May launch of a reimagined website experience that will revolutionize the way fans discover, watch, share, and connect with anime.”

Of note within this is that there will (FINALLY) be new Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV Apps. Plus they’ll be launching the service in the UK.

A quick look at
what’s coming in 2016.

Additionally, they’re also making it really easy for fans to try out their service as the new season gets underway with a new promotion:

“To jumpstart this year of change, we’re temporarily extending our free trial offer from 14 days to 30 days. That means you can start your subscription now and your trial will take you all the way through the launch of our new mobile apps! (More on that in our big announcement later today.) Plus, you can start watching all of the amazing shows in our new winter season, like Dimension W, Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, Pandora in the Crimson Shell Ghost Urn, Snow White with the Red Hair, and more!”
