‘Agent Carter’ Premiere Rescheduled

2 min read

Agent Carter 11-23Originally scheduled to premiere on January 5th, 2016, ABC has now rescheduled the Agent Carter debut to January 19th, 2016. The reason for the delay is that the State of the Union address, usually done towards the end of January, has been moved up to January 12th. ABC doesn’t want to have a skip week right away as that will cause a hit to the ratings, so they’re opting to kick it off on January 19th, 2016 instead.

Unless ABC ends up doubling up on episodes further down the line, which isn’t likely considering other series and commitments, this will push Agents of SHIELD back from its March 8th, 2016 debut by two weeks as well.

ABC has announced that the second season will be a two-hour premiere as part of its ten-episode run.

The series stars Hayley Atwell with recent confirms of James D’Arcy, Dominic Cooper and Enver Gjokaj as coming back and others being finalized.

Plot concept: Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.
