Just a few days after information surfaced about the name for the Monsters, Inc. prequel with Monsters University, we’ve been treated to the logo itself as discovered by the Pixar Blog. In related news, the movie has had a bit of a change because of some scheduling issues as Pixar wanted a bit more time between releases. With Brave set to hit next summer, Monsters University has been bumped from its previous date of November 2nd, 2012 to June 21st, 2013. This open slot in November will now be taken by the Disney animated film Reboot Ralph.
There’s little detail out there at the moment about Monsters University, which is how Pixar usually plays it, but what’s come out so far is that it’s a bit of a flashback tale that tells of the time when Mike and James became friends at college after starting out as enemies. Which makes all the more sense in avoiding the number sequel idea.
