With The CW having announced their fall schedule, it was revealed that DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is set for a mindseason 2016 debut, potentially as a bridging season while Flash and Arrow are on break. With that announcement, we’ve gotten the first look at the cast, which you can see below, and at least one answer and plenty of fun speculation about one of the characters.
With Caity Lotz having been signed onto the series, and her character in Arrow having been killed at the start of season three last fall there, many were wondering how she would come back. With the use of Rip Hunter and his time travel side, it looks like he’s plucked a version of the character from a different timeline known as White Canary. Suffice to say, her being involved is going to cause some trouble when others discover this, and that fits within The CW’s wheelhouse easily.
The use of Victor Garber as Martin Stein has lead many curious as to how it would work without Robbie Amell as Ronnie Raymond, but speculation now makes it seem like the character is set to play the regular human side of the series as well as the brains, or at least a different kind of brains than what Ray Palmer represents. The potential for Robbie Amell to guest star is certainly there as well, so we may still yet see Firestorm in the series.
