Netflix hosted their DROP 01 event to talk about a number of projects back in September 2023 and one of the new ones revealed was a Devil May Cry work that’s coming. We learned that it’s coming from Capcom (as expected) with Studio Mir handling the production and in conjunction with Adi Shankar.

With an April 3rd, 2025 debut set previously, the latest update from Netflix is a minute clip below. Here, DARKCOM sends Mary after Dante, but little does she know who she’s really up against.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Toshiyuki Morikawa as Dante
  • Fumiko Orikasa as Lady
  • Hiroaki Hirata as Vergil

Previously, it was confirmed that Johnny Yong Bosch would be handling the English dubbed version of Dante for it. It also includes Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary, Hoon Lee as White Rabbit, and Chris Coppola as Enzo. The production also features the late Kevin Conroy as VP Baines in a posthumous role.

The series features the opening credits sequence which features ‘Rollin'” by Limp Bizkit.

Check out our review of the series’ previous anime series here.

The original work aired in 2007, and the Madhouse series was directed by Shin Itagaki based on the composition from Toshiki Inoue. Hisashi Abe served as the chief animation director and character designer and was animated by Madhouse.

Plot Concept: Cursed to live as both monster and man, Dante must spend his life fighting the demonic forces of darkness. Brandishing his sword, Rebellion, and his always-loaded guns, Ebony and Ivory, Dante is more than happy to send the demons back to hell – especially when there’s money to be made.
