It’s time to go back to the Edo period as a new manga series was previously announced with Kaitai Shinsho. The new series made its debut in the February 13th, 2025, installment of Weekly Young Jump from creator Meguru Ihara. This is the debut work from the creator.
Now, the first compiled volume is about to land and the finalized cover artwork has arrived below.
Weekly Young Jump is a Japanese seinen manga magazine published by Shueisha. Launched in 1979, it is published under Shueisha’s Jump line of magazines.
Plot Concept: The series is based on the historical crime thriller oneshot set in Edo Period Japan about the daughter of a pharmacist seeking out the help of an eccentric doctor who conducts autopsies – a procedure still taboo at that time – to investigate the mysterious death of a woman.
