Toei continues to work through a lot of properties for release in Japan to make sure they’re still available and the fourth iteration of GeGeGe no Kitaro from 1996 is now getting the attention. The 114-episode series is now set for two standard definition Blu-ray sets that will arrive on April 23rd, 2025 and May 28th, 2025 with two discs per set that cover fifty-seven episodes each. The sets are priced at 27,500 yen each.
With the second set just out, we now have a look at the packaging for this release.
This series had Daisuke Nishio as the series director with Shunichi Yukimuro working on the series composition. Michi Himeno and Shingo Araki handled the character designs with Toei Animation on the production.
The Japanese cast includes:

Plot Concept: Kitarou, a ghost, spends his afterlife helping humans in need of his skills. He thwarts the plans of evil spirits who live to torment humanity. This time, Kitarou’s friend Megumi is in need of his help. Her father, a botanist, went to Baruru Island to study the plant life there, and was subsequently kidnapped by evil spirits. It’s up to Kitarou to save him.
