
While we did have a gap for a while when it came to new material in the world of Dragon Ball, the arrival of the 40th anniversary of the start of the manga comes next year and how could there not be a new property? Announced in October 2023, Dragon Ball DAIMA was an all-new original series from Akira Toriyama who worked on the story and character designs for it.
With the first extended episode making an October 11th, 2024 premiere, the latest update is that the series is now primed to make its debut on Toonami. The show is set to launch on June 14th, 2025, at 12:30am after Lazarus. Check out the full schedule below.
The opening theme song is “Jaka Jaan” by Zedd feat. C&K and the ending theme song have been set with “Nakama” performed by ZEDD feat. Ai.

Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki are on board as the directors for the series. Yuuko Kakihara is handling the scripts and supervising the writers while Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru is adapting the character designs for it.
The Japanese cast includes:

- Fairouz Ai as Panzy
- Kōki Uchiyama as Glorio
- Yumiko Kobayashi as Supreme Kai (Mini)
- Showtaro Morikubo as Gomah
- Junya Enoki as Degesu
- Yōko Hikasa as Dr. Arinsu
- Ryuta Suzuki as Yamcha
