A new anime adaptation was in the works with the formal announcement in April 2024 that the Ninja to Koroshiya no Futarigurashi manga is in production. Shaft is behind the production that localizes as A Ninja and Assassin Living Together. The series has Yukihiro Miyamoto directing it from the series overseen by Fuyashi Tou. Kazuya Shiotsuki is serving as the character designer with SHAFT on the animation production.
With an April 10th, 2025, premiere date, Crunchyroll has now brought out a new clip from the seventh episode, where if Konoha has 0 fans, Satoko is dead. The show features the opening theme song is “Yarenno? Endless” performed by Kanna Hanazawa while the ending theme song “Ninkoro Dance” is performed by HoneyWorks feat. HaKoniwalily.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Haruna Mikawa as Satoko Kusakakure
- Kana Hanazawa as Konoha Koga
- Yū Serizawa as Marin Izutsumi
- Eri Kitamura as Kuro

The manga from Hamburger began in 2021 as serialized in Comic Dengeki Doaih G and has three volumes released as of this announcement.

Plot Concept: Satoko Kusagakure, a female ninja who left her village with her comrades, finds herself living with Konoha, a high school girl working as an assassin in the city. Satoko possesses the ability to transform objects using ninjutsu, which catches Konoha’s attention. They strike a deal: Konoha provides Satoko with a place to live in exchange for Satoko’s help in cleaning up after her assassination jobs.
As they face off against assassins sent by Satoko’s village, indulge in delicious meals using money earned from assassination jobs, and navigate the chaos of their unusual living situation, the story captures the heartwarming yet chaotic lives of these two unlikely roommates.
