‘Fermat Kitchen’ Anime Sets Premiere Date, Opening Theme With OSHIKIKEIGO

While manga creator Yugo Kobayashi is known for their Aoshi work, they also have a property called Fermat no Ryori, which back in 2023 got the nod for a live-action project. Back in early December 2024, we learned about another important announcement and it confirmed that an anime adaptation was in the works.

We learned previously that DXTEEN will be performing the ending theme song, which now has its title revealed with “Change Over,” and now the opening theme has been set with “Maillard” as performed by OSHIKIKEIGO.

The show also revealed a July 5th, 2025, premiere date.

The main staff now has Kazuya Ichikawa directing it from the series composition handled by domerica, which is also handling the animation production. Takeshi Okamoto and Satsuki Kashiwagi are on the character designs.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Takuma Nagatsuka as Milo Wivia

The manga from Yugo Kobayashi began in 2018 and has four volumes out as of 2024 as serialized in Monthly Shonen Magazine.

Kobayashi made their debut in 2008 with some Bleach doujinshi and went on to create Aoashi and several other works.

Monthly Shōnen Magazine is a monthly shōnen manga magazine published in Japan by Kodansha. It was launched in 1964 under the name Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine. In 1969 it was retitled as Monthly Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine and its publication frequency increased from quarterly to monthly.

Plot Concept: Kitada Gaku is a prodigy in Mathematics and a scholarship holder at Wels Private Academy, a renowned institution with a long history in the International Mathematical Olympiad. After a series of unfortunate events, he meets Asakura Kai, a culinary prodigy with his own catering business. What does the future hold for these two geniuses, and how do their paths intertwine with each other’s?
