A panel last fall at NYCC for the webnovel and its webcomic adaptation of The Beginning After the End revealed that an anime adaptation is in the works. The project had already been picked up by Crunchyroll, which will stream it worldwide outside of Asia in 2025. Original creator TurtleMe will serve as a story supervisor and executive producer. With the webcomic released in Japan already, the anime will use the same localized name of Saikyō no Ō-sama, Nidome no Jinsei wa Nani wo Suru?
With an April 2nd, 2025, debut for the show, Crunchyroll confirmed its pickup of the series. Now, the Japanese side has brought out the first preview of the tenth episode ahead of its June 4th, 2025, release.
The adaptation has Keitaro Motonaga directing it from the scripts overseen by Takamitsu Kono. Masami Sueoka is handling the character designs with Studio A-Cat on the animation production.

The original work began in 2017 on Tapas with just under 1,500 chapters so far and the webcomic saw distribution through Tapas in 2018. Yen Press brings it out in print.
