The AnimeFesta group previously announced a new work that was in production with an adaptation of Ayaka Matsumoto’s Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami boys-love manga. The series has Akane Ozora directing it from the series composition by Eeyo Kurosaki. Rena Nasu is on board for the character designs with Studio Hokiboshi on the animation production.
The project saw an April 6th, 2025, premiere date for its broadcast and main streaming debut. Now, the Japanese home video releases have been set. Or, at least, the broadcast version of the DVD with a planned August 20th, 2025, release priced at 4,981 yen. The uncensored DVD and Blu-ray editions have not been scheduled yet. Extras include the promo and TV spots, a presentation piece, and an audio commentary for the first episode.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Chasuke as Akihiro Kaji
- Marshmallow Yakitarō as Yū Fukami
The theme song for it with “Bokura no Rendezvous” performed by the two leads.
The manga from Ayaka Matsumoto began in 2022 and has two volumes out as of July 2024 as serialized on the ComicFesta service.

Plot Concept: Kaji is well-liked, but he secretly rates everyone and looks down on them. On a business trip with Fukami, Kaji gives him a flat 0. However, after a bath, Fukami transforms into a completely different person! Thus begins the obstinate relationship of a playboy narcissist and a deceivingly frumpily dressed, hot-bodied otaku!
