A new series debuted last year with the reveal of Shiganbana from creator Yae Utsumi. The new series saw a May 20th, 2024, debut in Weekly Young Magazine marked 25/2024 from Kodansha, available to read here – albeit in Japanese only.

With the property wrapping up recently, the fourth and final volume is set for a June 6th, 2025, release in Japan, and the cover artwork has landed below.

Utsumi’s first published work was 2014s Shinkai Tsuzuri no Dokkairoku and they followed it up with new projects in 2016 and 2020.

Weekly Young Magazine is a Japanese weekly anthology magazine published in Tokyo each Monday by Kodansha. The magazine started on June 16, 1980, and is targeted at the adult male demographic. It was published bimonthly, on the second and fourth Mondays of every month, until switching to a weekly publication in 1989.

Plot Concept: In this seemingly peaceful country, there exists a “hitman’s hitman” who hunts hitmen. As he continues to eliminate his targets, he questions the meaning of killing. To live with his own destiny. A drama of human life between life and death, depicted by Yae Utsumi, author of “Until the Bones Rot” and “Our Last Stand.”
