
As part of World Gorilla Day, it was revealed in September 2024 that an anime adaptation is in the works for the Gorilla no Kami Kara Kago sareta Reijou wa Ouritsu Kishidan de Kawaigarareru property. With the show set for an April 2025 debut, the series has Fumitoshi Oizaki directing it from the series composition and scripts by Hitomi Amamiya. Sakae Shibuya is working on the character designs with Kachigarasu on the animation production.
With an April 6th, 2025, premiere as The Gorilla God’s Go-To Girl with Crunchyroll picking it up, the latest update is a new clip from the streamer. This is from the seventh episode, where Sophia and Louis finally kiss.

The opening theme song is “Illuminate” as performed by Shugo Nakamura, and the ending theme song “Serendipity” performed by Megumi Ogata.
The manga comes from writer Shirohi and artist Mika Kamisu which began in 2021 in Flos Comic for Kadokawa. It has five volumes released so far in Japan and is not licensed for English release.

Plot Concept: In this world, 16-year-olds receive blessings from various animal gods. The timid count’s daughter Sophia Lila is rumored to be quite strong, having received the blessing from the “Gorilla God.” Although she wants a peaceful life, people seek her out due to her immense power. Ultimately, she is scouted by the royal knights. The promising young knights intently follow Sophia, the strongest girl.
