We learned earlier this year that the Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms manga was getting an anime adaptation and have had a solid run of information so far. With a January 2025 debut set, Crunchyroll previously confirmed their pickup of the show for the season with it set to be available to viewers in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
With a January 6th, 2025, premiere date for the show, the latest update is on the Japanese home video releases. The twelve-episode series is being done as a three-volume release on Blu-ray where each set is priced at 13,000 yen.
With the second set coming up next month, we now have the full packaging spread for all three volumes after having the main cover artwork previously. Check out the full schedule and known details below.
Yoshiaki Okumura is directing it from the series composition by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu. Mayumi Watanabe is handling the character designs with SynergySP on the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Ryōta Iwasaki as Medaka Kuroiwa, Yū Serizawa as Mona Kawai, Sora Amamiya as Asahi Shonan, Kana Hanazawa as Tsubomi Haruno, Hinaki Yano as Tomo Namba, Kaori Maeda as Minami Shirahama, Tasuku Hatanaka as Yuzuru Kido, and Daiki Yamashita as Sho Kobayakawa.
Known originally as Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsuujinai, it began in 2021 in the magazine for Kodansha and has fourteen volumes out so far. It’s released digitally in English with eleven volumes so far while six print volumes have been released as well.
Kuze’s first published work was in 2011 with Tenjin – World War Angle and they’ve had half a dozen other titles since then.
